Witty, Charming Naughtiness

If an entertaining, light-hearted fun and witty night is what you’re after, then Joe Lycett is one not to be missed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (or any festivals for that matter). All the way from the UK, Joe Lycett brings his cleverly written show “If Joe Lycett Then You Should Have Put A Ring On It” to Melbourne/Australia for the first time.

Through a series of funny anecdotes, brilliantly written complaint letters and a game show-esque segment with his audiences, Lycett discusses his naughtiness in everyday life while covering a vast variety of topics including sexuality, the dating app Grindr, his spirit animal: the Walrus, stage fright at the urinals, driving and parking ticket incidents, his relationship with an older woman as well as the case of the British sausage roll and Emporio Armani just to name a few.

It’s difficult for any audience not to fall in love with Lycett.  On top of the hilarious stories of Lycett’s mischievous adventures and the many witty remarks from impromptu interactions with the audiences; from the very beginning to the end of the show, the audiences are constantly graced by his warm, welcoming and exuberating bubbliness as well as his seemingly never ending charisma.

Melting hearts with his rays of sunshine personality and cheekiness while breaking funny bones with his wittiness and storytelling skills, Lycett is an absolute delight to watch and a must see.

Definitely catch his show before he finishes his run in Melbourne. Hopefully it won’t be a long wait till he comes back again.
