It’s mind-boggling how extraordinary Steen Raskopoulos’ ingenious mind works but one thing is for sure, he is by far one of the most unique, stupendously talented and imaginative comedians there is to grace the comedy scene. After his critically acclaimed show last year, Steen once again brings his vivid imagination (or could it be his multiple personalities? We’ll never know) alive with the stellar new show titled The Coolest Kid in Competitive Chess to the 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. There’s an indescribable delightfulness in seeing seasoned comedians continue to surpass themselves and evolve as a performer — 43 year old comedy legend Wil Anderson is one of those rare gems. In the last four years I’ve attended his shows, Wil has unremittingly and consistently grown, continuously refining and polishing his crafts as the captivatingly engaging, soothingly crisp, sharply witty and intellectually thought-provoking comic that he is in the world of standup.

With two extremely successes on the ABC: six part comedy documentary aptly titled Luke Warm Sex and the hilariously brilliant comedy series Rosehaven, it’s no wonder it’s been three years since we last saw him on the comedy stage. Daniel Sloss: So? @ Melbourne International Comedy Festival ‪2017 ‬(09/04/2017)

Darkishly Witty. Narcissistically Charming.

There’s something irresistibly charismatic and captivatingly alluring about self described narcissistic arsehole Scottish comedian Daniel Sloss. Perhaps it’s his darkishly witty and thought provoking humour; or his “I don’t give a fuck what you think” persona or just the fact that deep down, we as an audience actually like to be lightly offended. Whatever it might be, the Melbourne comedy scene loves him and judging by the sold out shows, we simply can’t get enough of him.  Continue reading “Daniel Sloss: So? @ Melbourne International Comedy Festival ‪2017 ‬(09/04/2017)”
